Now that the leagues are set, when do we start discussing draft dates/times? I would suggest August 27th. At least by that time, all teams except for 2 would have played 3 preseason games so we would know all about the preseason injuries. Thoughts?

I have a draft that day. It's my main league and will be an all day event, followed by a poker game.

End of August will be an issue for me. I am going to Nationals for X-Wing and Inperial Assault

August is wide open for me. The only day there might be a problem is Sunday the 13th if we start before 8pm. (Wednesday evenings are an issue for me too.)

I mean we're flexible. I was just throwing a date out there. We can suggest other days as well.

Good question. I like being able to pick my position, but not going to go with the spot I had last year if I can help it.

Think your correct. Was a good rule change IMO. Should be interesting to see teams adjust where they want to draft.

IV. The Draft:
i. A random drawing will take place to determine the order that each team gets to pick their draft spot. For instance whoever draws #1 gets to choose what draft spot they would like first. Whoever draws #2 gets to choose what draft spot they would like second, and so on and so forth until whoever draws #12 gets whatever spot is left. Divisions will be determined by the draft spot chosen. Division A will be draft spots #1, #4, #7, and #10. Division B will be draft spots #2, #5, #8, and #11. Division C will be draft spots #3, #6, #9, and #12. No trading of draft spots or draft picks is allowed. (amended 2016)

So Lefty and I were talking about this tonight and as far as we know, no A leaguer that has been relegated to the B league has made their way back up to the A league, and not only that, but I looked it up and the only former A leaguer to even make the playoffs in the B league was Monkey in 2015. In fact, in the A league this year, it will be the first time that there are more non-original A leaguers than original A leaguers as 7 of us have come up from the B league: Tlance, me, Steelers, Milk, Face, OBX, and Trudem and only 5 OG's left: Treff, TKO, Ram, Joe, Fuzzy. I have no idea what to do with this other than state once again how much better the talent is in these leagues than in every league we play in.

I have issues with any draft date between July 24 - Aug 9 and Labor Day weekend ($$ drafts). However, if one of those dates work for everyone else, I'll just autodraft (which I'm not thrilled over). .... Guess I'll put up a poll with date ranges to see where we all stand.
