thought this was lacking, unless I missed it...or have we already forgot about Hokie hoops?
good call. Though I do cringe every time I think about this game.
VT looked prepared for the Cuse zone, but JVZ and Raines just can't handle the ball and score from mid-range for the offense to be effective.
I like what I saw from Barksdale. If he can stay healthy and play that hard every game, VT may be able to win a few more.
Eddie was on vacation tonight....that usually means he'll score 20+ the next game.
Makes you wonder why JJ insists on running plays with them there. Defenses just totally ignore them. It makes no damn sense at all. They can't pass from there, they can't shoot from there, the team doesn't know how to execute a proper pick and roll with them there, and them being there puts them out of position to get get rebounds (which we need to get because we chuck bricks a lot).
Honestly, despite some typically stupid play (scheme wise), I was pleasantly surprised we kept it close for so long. But one last thing to bitch about because I'm a negative nancy, is it illegal for a Hokie guard to drive into the paint? Is there some sort of invisible barrier around the 3-point line that shocks our players any time they attempt to drive?
There were more fans at UVa's spring game than there were VT fans at Cassell against #2 Syracuse.

Nah, VT had at least 10 fans there last night.
