The more I read, the more excited I am. Next to Leonard Williams who the Jets stole at #6, Melvin Gordon is the only other true home run hitter in the first round. He has the potential to be the next LT in San Diego.
How can you not be excited?

Some are knocking the move up by saying he would be there at 17. Also the argument he's a rerun of the same story where the Chargers went for a 1st round RB like Matthews. They are saying and TT probably found out that Houston wasn't going to pass on him so the Chargers would be left with neither Gurley or Gordon.

So what's different this time around? The O line. Watt, Fluker, King, and Franklin are going to punch holes that weren't there for the other RBs. If the Chargers hadn't upgraded their O line the way they did, I would think getting an RB in the 1st round was a waste too.

I loved this kid. I honestly believe this kid is going to be a star. I watched him all the while he played for Wisconsin and just kept on saying to myself I wished the Packers could find a way to get this kid and we have Eddie Lacy. I think he can do it all.

Gordon obviously had a tough time finding the hole last night. I hope he learns quickly from this.

Whats your thoughts on Gordon? What's he worth to you?

He sure as hell isn't worth 11 mil to me!

Dean Spanos can eat a dick and I hope the Chargers lose every single game. But I side with them here, no RB is worth that much.

Just wish Rivers could escape and have a chance at a title. Really like that dude.

I'm no fan of Spanos and swore i was jumping ship when they left, but once the season started I couldn't help it, I'm back.

Gordon is not only not worth it, he's always injured!! I hate to see him go, but odios!

Let your hate out for Spanos, but don't piss on the rest of us!! Come back, we need you!

I don't criticize anyone for sticking with them. But I grew up in San Diego. I saw Dan Fouts lighting up the scoreboard at the Murph. That team is and will always be San Diego to me.

If they won I'd be happy for Rivers, but would be hoping Spanos dropped the Lombardi and severed his nutsack. I could cheer for LA if he sold the team, but never as much as SD.

Really looking forward to seeing 50,000 empty seats when the new digs open.

I lived in Oceanside for four years and I became a fan in 2000. I actually had a hard time finding the Chargers forum on SH because I kept looking for San Diego until I realized they had it listed as Los Angeles.
I hate seeing that damn soccer stadium have more opposing team jerseys in the crowd than Bolts, but I am not surprised. And you will be right, there will be tens of thousands of empty seats until they start winning playoff games, then all of LA will claim they were lifetime fans. sux...

Spanos screwed us and I couldn't care less if his jet flew into the side of a mountain.
