The Giants announced today that they WOULD be giving him a ring. Melky had stated that he wanted a ring, but would understand if the Giants did not give him one.

I always took it as a given that he would get one. While he left on bad terms, I think he CLEARLY deserves one. What would be the LEGIT arguments against his getting one?

We didn't forfeit any of the games that he played in. His contributions counted, so he did earn that ring, IMO.

Saw him in a ST game on TV a couple nights ago. Maybe it's still early ST, but he looked pudgy and slow. Body language was not crisp like when he was here in his "prime", as it were.
