This early I judge mocks based on position more than actually players taken. Stocks are going to rise and fall constantly for the next three months. Hard to argue with Seattle taking the best WR, TE, or OL on the board.

DGB in the first seems like a big stretch given he may be in the same position as a guy like Josh Gordon- without the on field performance of Gordon mind you. I hope what that means is it is Mel's way of letting the readers know (in a cookie cutter draft needs sort of way) that DGB is pretty damn talented... I hope.

I can see the Giants drafting O-line in the first round so this is on target for the GMEN but we can also use a LB, DE, S and TE but all this can change depending on free agency moves.

Hammer just had a panic attack

It was a justified panic attack w/ the Titans taking Kaepernick 2.0. Especially w/ a beast like Leonard Williams on the board. That'd be David Carr over Julius Peppers all over again (to a slightly lesser extent; Williams is not quite as good as Peppers).

It's not real hard to know what the Steelers need...pass rusher, CB are the top two needs.

If Kiper is right about Dupree going before 22...I can see them going CB, but doubtful the Wake Forest kid...too slight for the 1st round imo.

With the 12th pick in the 2015 NFL the Cleveland Browns select...

the wrong player (again)

The one thing the Browns do better than just about anyone else is making the wrong Draft Day decisions.

Can you elaborate on this? I know very little about Funchess.

I wouldn't be surprised to see PIT and BAL both reach slightly for CBs...if you listen the the draftniks...2 legit 1st talents at CB, but 4 or 5 2nd rd talents.

He's not really a wide receiver. He's a Tight End. Started splitting out wide two years ago. It'll be interesting to see his times at the combine.

He has Braylon Edwards type hands also. (Same # as well). In the past I had high hopes for the kid, but his freshman year was the high point for me. Not much progression as a player.

I know that no one cares about RBs anymore but its hard to see Melvin Gordon slipping out of the top 20

I think he goes late in the first. Wouldn't be surprised to see a team trade up to get him. He might be the last 1st round RB for a few years, IMO.

Had Gurley not gotten hurt I think we would seen 2 go 1st round.

I think we're going to see a slight resurgence in the RBs, but just looking at the board...AZ seems about right. SF could use a work horse RB, ATL but the Falcons are going pass rusher and WR makes sense for the 49ers.

I like how he assumes the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl
