On your own 40 only up by two and 1:40 left? There are many coaches that punt that and hope their defense can hold. Hell, you fail and they are only 7 yards from FG to win.

A minute and a half left in the game, I honestly am not sure of the timeout situation, and if you don’t make it, the Seahawks only need about five yards for the game winning FG. If you punt, they likely start around the twenty. The more I talk about it, I assume they had timeouts, the more I like the call actually.

What I like is the message he sends to his team. Its a huge trust, confidence, and moral booster when you tell your team to go win the game as opposed to forking over the ball and telling your team to stop the other team from winning the game. They have control of the outcome as long as they have the ball.

McVay has really opened up the offense in LA. Having those weapons doesn't hurt, nor arguably having the best RB in the league also helps. I so wish McVay was still calling our plays however, it seems Jay may have held McVay back. No one to hold McVay back anymore. Good for him!
