I think he'll do much better his second go around.

Just seemed like a guy that was too young and got too much power and was trying too hard to be a BB clone.

Crashing and burning that hard has to be a humbling experience and one that causes you to evaluate everything that went wrong.

I think the thought, at least the Colt's thought, is that McDaniels with another 7 years under Belichick's tutelage, will be a better coach the 2nd time around.

This was certainly true with The Hoodie himself.

Who knows though. Maybe he just doesn't have the right DNA to be a HC. Very few great ones come around.

It'd be a good hire for the Colts. He's got HC experience to learn from. He's been back in NE since 2012.
Not too many qualified prospects out there.
Luck should be healthy. The Colts have tons of cap space (3rd most) and have the 3rd most players under contract. Ballard did good on defense last year. Having the 3rd pick in each round is good too.

Ill just say this, if Luck isnt right, and a lot of people seem to think the is another Chad Pennington type career ender, the Colts could be the worst possible situation in the NFL

True. But if he is healthy, it is a better situation than the Giants. Risk/Reward. I think Ballard is a good GM and he has done well so far. If Luck is back and the offensive line gets fixed, they can win 9-11 games. But it all depends on Luck.

How are Giants fans feeling about the Shurmer news? Pretty much guarantees you take a QB at 2.

Well, I wasnt really talking about the Giants, but I think a lot of people would dis-agree

The Giants have far better personnel on offense and defense

And the #2 pick you hope would address the QB issue

I think it was guaranteed the Giants would take a QB when they benched Eli for no reason.

Considering the remaining options (I really wanted Patricia), Im very happy

I never wanted Mcdaniels, I think he is a product of BB's greatness, and I wonder if he could lead men when push comes to shove

So yeah, Im good with it

Patricia is gone too. Have they ever had a year where they lost both the OC and DC?
Yeah right after winning 3 out of 4. They certainly struggled in 2005 but a lot played into that. They hadn't replaced Charlie Weis yet, Ty Law left, and Mangini was in his first and only year as defensive coordinator. They'll have a lot of rookies on the staff next year and it might take a bit to get it going. Also, they were without Bruschi for half the season as he had a stroke.

They started 6-5 and in the first 11 games they were 26th in points against at that point.

Shurmer sure looks like he deserves it after all he has done in MN. I'm super pumped to land Patricia. I've wanted a hydrid 3-4 in Detroit for years. I want to see fast LB's flying around on our turf rushing the QB.

Why does Mcasshole deserve another shot? I see some Pats fans saying this but what is it based on?

Not really "no reason". They were 2-9. Nothing to lose by trying another option.
