Think we all need to try harder against T next year. . Guy's killing it most weeks this season

I don't know. My team honestly isn't that great. Good sure, but my record in categories decided by 1-2 units has got to be like 75% wins.

2014 is either destined to be my year, or my team will crash and burn in the playoffs. Time will tell.

You knew he would start eventually. The timing of the announcement sucks, but it isn't like they are going to keep him out of the rotation.

I like knowing when my pitchers are going, so I know who they are going against, so I can realy plan on whom I want to sit and start. I don't expect all that much, but I do expect to have this info before I set my lineups.

By the way, I am trying to figure out a way to make the playoffs work, but there is a chance we will not be able to have a consolation bracket, which is supposed to determine relegation. In the event that we don't have one, the bottom two teams will be the ones to go.

In that event, however, I was thinking that we make a mini power ranking using both the head to head standings and the roto standings to eliminate some of the luck element. For example:

H2H ranks:

Team A- 9th- 4 points
Team B- 10th- 3 points
Team C-11th- 2 points
Team D- 12th- 1 point

Roto Ranks-
Team A- 11th Place- 2 Points
Team B- 10th Place- 3 Points
Team C- 12 Place- 1 Point
Team D- 5th Place- 7 points

Team A- 6 Points
Team B- 6 Points
Team C- 3 Point
Team D- 8 Points

In this example, Team C would be moving down with the lowest point total. Since Teams A and B are tied, we would go look at their record in matches against each other to determine who moves. If still tied, then team A would get the nod since they finished higher in the standings.

Thoughts on this?

Is this preferably to a consolation bracket even if we can get it to work?

I don't mind this at all. I think I'd prefer straight up record to the combo with roto though. I don't know how my team is doing roto-wise. I don't think (or plan) that way at all in this league.
If just record, we all have the same straight-forward goal, that everyone knows how to get there...as opposed to a surprise at the end. Ahhh, you finally made it to 10th place ...but your roto score sucked... down you go hahaha
