Ya ... sad, no doubt!

Poor guy could just not stay healthy at SCar, nor the NFL. Talk about tough luck with the knees! Guy had such great 'potential', too.

Does he have his degree?

If not, I have zero doubt he would get the support from USCe to go back and get his. The day is coming very soon where it will happen anyway with insurance's ect. on the CFB players. It would be a good PR move by South Carolina do get that done ASAP with Lattimore. He literally gave it his all for them and the stupid rule of not being able to leave school when he was ready ( IMO after his Frosh year)

I'd like to hear from the Cocks fans on this guy.

From what I gathered, the kid had a ton of heart. He'd have to .... having to keep coming back from those knee injuries. Just totally bad luck for the poor guy.

Heard Lattimore is a good kid, not thuggish (this coming from a friend of mine who is a SCAR alum). Sucks for him b/c of the injury. Needs to hit up some SCAR alumni for a job. Bama's alum give their former players who are no longer useful after injury some of the shittiest jobs out there (refer to Prothro and his minimum wage earning job as a bank teller somewhere in Tuscaloosa).

I wonder if he is well spoken. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a cfb show.

That's exactly what we need. A cycle of ESPN hyping players, the players not doing well (2,500 total yards on 4.8 YPC are his career college football numbers; Can we quit pretending he was elite before the injury?), and then ESPN employing them. I mean, at least they had the common sense to make Tebow an NCAA commentator, not an NFL one.

Sucks for the dude. He was a great running back. Call me crazy But I think the rule should be changed to where players must have a degree to declare for the draft. Whether they get it in 2 years,3 years, or 4 years I think you must have it before you declare.

He had one of the most devastating knee injuries I've seen, plus had hurt his other knee as well. He should be grateful the Niners drafted him, gave him an income for a couple years. Hopefully, he's invested a big portion of that money (tho I'm sure it wasn't a lot, NFL, fourth round rookie money).

Gurley should look at this, and just stay out the rest of the year.

Marcus is a great kid. Very humble and good role model. He is not, however, very well spoken. Kind of reminds me of John Coffey from green mile.
