And not necessarily true. If we want to talk logically then there should be the same amount of talent percentage wise.

That's more what I was going for. Saying there are "more schools in the east so they have more chances to make the tournament" isn't a very compelling argument for anything.

The East has a better chance to send more schools to the tournament simply because there are more schools in the East. If there is a group with 50 teams (West) and a group with 100 teams (East) and each group could only send qualified teams to the next round then of course the group with 100 teams will send more, barring some miracle.

is northern az the thrid div1 in arizona? and what is the third div 1 in new mexico?

That's probably UTEP in Texas. It's fairly close to Las Cruces. Also GCU is a transitioning school that should probably be on the map for Arizona.

Oklahoma got all their schools into the tourny and also bowl games.

No. That distribution also fits the general population of the united states.

Why do you think there are so many more schools out east? Cause everyone out west wants to go to school in the east? No. Because you build schools to fit population demand.
