Correct but no matter how you slice it we have 60 scholarships accounted for right now which means we still can give out 5 more scholarships (I believe).

WE're capped at 20 this year,23 with EE guys. Not sure how the JUCO kid works, may have an extra one there as well. WE only have 2-3 more to give unless someone bails.

The total is up to 70 this season as well, but we won't be able to get there. Will most likely put the extras to use with senior walk ons who contribute and earn them.

I also feel bad for their program. They finally were turning the corner and becoming a good, tough, competitive team and now their leader just left them. If Franklin was leaving a Big10 team to come to PSU then I would be loving the hire even more and wouldn't feel bad at all.

Having LO'B take off all the sudden I understand how Vandy fans feel. It's not easy. Honestly I feel like saying thanks to O'Brien for leaving now. I think we went up several levels with the hiring of Franklin.

Nobody felt bad for us when Urban poached half our class while L'OB was off coaching in the playoffs or when teams were circling like sharks when Freeh transfer season was announced. Hard for me to feel bad for any other program after the last 2 years. It happens, coaches leave, classes break up. Hopefully they find a good replacement and move on.

I doubt any other fanbase is gonna shed any tears if Holley leaves us either and other [programs were all over our recruits the second L'OB announced he was leaving

I get it, I know no other coaches or fan bases felt bad for us when they could raid the kitchen at Penn State and I never cried over any kid leaving. I figured if they left they didn't get what it meant to a Nittany Lion.

If we were taking kids from Urban Meyer I'd laugh my ass off because he didn't wait two minutes to try to sway kids away from Penn State. We now have a guy that could rival old Urbs now in recruiting. Vandy I felt bad for. Don't get me wrong I am glad to have Coach Franklin as our new coach. I saw him here at MD, now thinking of what he might do on the recruiting trail with all that Penn State has to offer, the sky is the limit.
