I feel bad for Gibson, but at least Tyler and Edwards have played well when needed. The fact that Gibson is slated to miss 6-8 months will give others an opportunity to step up in the spring.
I read a rumor somewhere that Barquell Rivers may even give a shot at playing in the Orange Bowl. That would be tough to give up a redshirt for one game, but more power to him if it's something he wants to do.

This is almost the same situation as two years ago in the Orange Bowl when Warren was out and Rivers got his first start in his stead. Rivers played lights out that game, including a really nice stop of Tony Pike at the goal line.
