I think they are both really good at rush defense. 3rd and 6th overall in the country. It could be a grinder. Maybe I'm just hoping for something high scoring.

Since 2008 the total points hasnt gone over 48 but once and the total for this game is 52, not sure if it moved. I expect a lower scoring game but shit happens.

I doubt that Bama will stack the box much. They will likely play a modified defense to help with Fournette, but I figure that Saban will be looking for Miles to break from running Fournette and try to create some passing situations as well. My guess is we will play our usual man defense in the secondary with blitz packages and gap blocks setup to create less lanes for Fournette and try to create some confusion for Miles. From what i have seen of his coaching style recently, it wont take much to create confusion for him.

I don't think either LSU or Bama can stack the box in this one. I think both teams will run the ball effectively. I think it will come down to which qb doesn't fuck it up. That and special teams.
