2019 NBA Draft Lottery Odds | Tankathon
So no matter who 'wins' this game they are helping themselves get back in the safe zone, not just Cleveland.
Phoenix is in a safer spot right now. Plus with their 15 game streak they can nudge a little closer by not tryin for Zion on Thursday.
Clippers are looking good to actually finish this off.
Boston needs some Bol Bol.
Doesn't make any sense for the franchise moving forward (basically giving away their draft pick), but maybe it helps them attract free agents this summer.
Teams making the playoffs for the first time (as a core group) rarely go deep. They think they can make the playoffs and land Kawhi.
It's a hell of a gamble.
Especially when they could've gotten a 1st for Lou Williams at the TD too.
So this run could cost them 2 first roundres.
They're definitely not going deep. They'll be out in the first round. However, free agents are more apt to go to a playoff team, thinking they can push that team deeper, instead of joining a lottery team that they hope can even get to the playoffs. Losing the pick is bad, but that means they get to keep next season's. No reason to move Lou, even in a rebuild. He's too valuable an offensive piece IMO (wish the Lakers could've kept him).
