They were 6-2, with wins over Nebraska, Purdue(ranked at the time), Maryland and that 30-0 shellacking of Colorado.


And they were 6-1 since losing their super stud of a Running Back to season ending injury.

They were, in fact, without ALL FOUR of the RBs they started the season with for half of those games.

Gameday rankings are meaningless. Only chumps rely on them to prop up their teams.

They WERE and actually STILL ARE, in first in their Division. A Division that has produced more Top 10 and Top 25 ranked teams than the Pac North.

I am an ND and Big 10 fan. But regardless to whom they might have lost (if Cincy loses another game),
Oregon should be ahead of Ohio State and Cincy ahead of ND unless either ends up with a second lost. Head to head has to be the determining factor, especially if on the road, if total loses are the same.
If head to head does not carry significant weight then there really is no reason to schedule a tough out of conference game, go with an FCS late in the season.

-Oregon's never won a CBB national title (You know who hasn't won a CBB national title? Minnesota.)
