I turn on the rockets/raps and within 5 seconds I see him flail his arms for the usual all ball flop to get to the line.

Of course it was attempts 11 and 12 for him on the day.

Is the league planning on catching on to this?

He does flop a shit ton and get there more than he should, but to his credit he is really good at initiating contact and he's a great slasher. Half of me respects his game, the other half thinks he's a flopping bitch. He'll never be worse than CP3 or Ginobili in my book though.

Harden can ball straight up ball. It's a shame he resorts to flopping and getting cheap free throws all the time. I try to root for him but it's hard.

The Suns would gleefully take him in a New York Second and never bitch again

I hate the flopping BS that has killed the game. I know the league has rules on it. But it's like their rules on traveling. 1500 cases of flopping in NBA this year... so far 7 have been called.

Harden has a unique brand of flopping. He does do the normal brand of flopping, too, on occasion... but he has the patent on the "I'm going to reach out my arm straight in front of me in a very unnatural-like odd-looking motion in order to get in a position where your arms are over mine... at which time I will move my arm directly upward thus causing you to foul me". Its similar to the strategy where if a player who has picked up his dribble notices that the defender has his arm hovering above the ball.... he will quickly go into a jumpshot and draw the foul... except much more unnatural and shady, IMO

2 things:

1) Ultimately defenders need to learn how to guard him... and anyone else who employs that strategy. You can't get caught hovering your arms over him. You have to anticipate the move and be ready to move at the same time. The move actually puts Harden in a vulnerable position for a steal or block if it is anticipated. In a 7 game series defenders will be much more locked onto his strategy than what he gets during the regular season.

2) He won't get it called as much in the playoffs. Its the playoffs. Physicality is usually more tolerated. Also, the quality of refs are better.

This is the 2015 version of the Reggie Miller "leg kick." Right now, it seems like it's pretty much just Harden that's doing this (at least to this extent). Just like with Miller's leg kick, as long as it's just Harden, the league is unlikely to do anything.

However, if it catches on with other players, then the league will address it.

Pretty much my sentiments exactly.

Personally I think the op is criticizing Harden because he knows Harden isn't playing for the team of his choice. Put Harden on his team and the crickets would be chirping:lol:

I don't even have a team of choice so you can keep your idiotic opinions to yourself
