I actually like Kansas State in this one
That staff is very well versed in stopping the triple option, that plus lots of time to prepare makes me think they'll take this one
Me too. If the same team shows up that beat Oklahoma.
Although a completely different style of game for them.
Agreed
A lot of folks are thinking Navy in this one and on the surface it's not a bad thought Navy is really good and Kansas State was bad against the run
I believe Kansas State will be ready for this particular style of running
The thing about bowl games and the underdogs covering so often (if not outright winning), is they have a month of watching film and preparing for the game instead of just a week like during the regular season.
.
I'll take Navy from a contrarian standpoint of "why" are they favored in this game?

To be fair Air Force beat Washington St in the Cheez-It bowl (31-21).
Army took Michigan to overtime in Ann Arbor earlier in the season.
These military teams run the triple option well.
.
Yes they do.
They also run it faster than any team can try to manipulate in preparation. Teams try to put WRs at QB for the quickness to try and replicate in practice, but it isn't just the QB. It is the OL movement and everything else that is ran in quick precision in order to run these offenses.
Was that a...a completion??
The hell is going on here?!?Woo Hooo
And with a pass!
