The Committee wanted to do two things:
A. Put a big name school in the playoff.
B. Give sec a patsy in the semi.

It's just that we've been over this many times, is all.

The members didnt want to add two teams just to add them. They want to get teams that will increase the TV sets/revenue, and there are only a few of those and they're already in conferences (other than ND, but they wont budge). If you add a couple of turkeys, the TV will not increase, thus each team will get less because they wont be able to get a new, better TV contract.

The conference asked the NCAA for a waiver to allow them to have a CCG with only ten teams, and they were denied.
