Been there, done that. Don't think either party would be interested in hooking back up.

I wanted them to draft the Honey Badger. :(

No worries. I expect the new FO to get this secondary in order in the next few years & it won't have to involve making desperate moves like picking up that musclehead Landry.

Boy LL sure did not live up to his pre-draft hype. What will this be his 4th team now?

No big deal. The Redskins only passed on Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, Patrick Willis & Darrelle Revis (among others) to draft him. Yikes.

Yep & considering that the new GM was a major part of the group that drafted Willis & responsible for many other similar picks for 49ers & Seahawks I don't think that Redskins fans will have to worry about this area for quite a while.

...He COULD have been great, IF Taylor was still living. Its fair to say the team had no idea how to use him.
He killed near the line, and yet with NO coverage skills they kept him in single high...
He goes to the Jets, where they know how to play defense and wow...he's a pro-bowler

Great? That is a bit of a stretch. A guy makes the pro bowl one year & you put him in that category? How about his time with Indy?

Let's be real here. This goes well beyond not being coached correctly or having the right players around you. Landry was always more concerned with being a bodybuilder & not a football player & somewhat paid the price this season with his suspension. Also - he was always concerned about looking good & making the killer hit as opposed to simply doing what was best for the team.

Perhaps he may have played better if Taylor (RIP) were still around (as would just about any defensive player), but I highly doubt that he would have been a great or possibly even a very good player. I just don't see this guy ever being that good given his mindset.

Theresa reason The Redskins let him go. Theres a reason The Colts let him go. There are more sensible options to fill the teams safety needs. This wouldn't work out for either party.
