At least the Sinstripes lost to Texas last night, so they lost ground in the Wild Card hunt.

Lackey's up against a starter with a worse ERA but a better W-L than his own this game.

I'm not worried about Pedroia's recent slump. It's just a normal part of a long season
as far as I can see. Would, of course, like to see a breakout this game but it's only a mater of time, IMO.

Pedroia's problems are probably more coincidental than contract-related.

The work ethic that makes him deserving of the long-term contract means he'll press frequently while
rarely if ever taking continued success for granted, IMO.

Let's just be glad we won't have to face Price again for a while and not worry about Dustin.

Yes he is pressing as a result of signing such a big contract, which yes he clearly deserved but it has to be in his head a bit since he is such a hard worker and wants to prove he is worth said contract. He's been trying to prove himself since he got to the majors. Facing Price tonight
