Let the production on the court speak for itself. Anxious to see how Kobe, Rose and Gallo all do this year in their returns.

Exactly. Just wait and see what's what.

Meanwhile these writers just need to fill up their paper with something so I can overlook them saying silly stuff.

PPG. That stat means everything!!!!!

Not if you have no efficiency. You end up wasting scoring opportunities for your team.

Until Jordan came back to join the Wizards he had a career 50% FG percentage. That's pretty awesome. When guys start falling into the low 40's then it becomes a problem.

Jordan shot over 3,000 less 3's than Kobe in his career and MJ flat out stunk from the 3 pt line for the first 4 years of his career. They were 2 different players, I know people like to make comparisons but when you only make a handful of 3's out of over 1,000 made shots, you're generally going to have a higher FG%.

lmao wow. KoMe Bryant knows the lakers aren't going anywhere so I fully expect him to lead the league in shots per game. He will avg 25 or 26 PPG on his 23 or 24 shots per game

Did you forget Kevin Durant is out for the start of the season? I'm sure Westbrook is up to challenging Kobe for the shots per game crown.

Thought this was pretty accurate
"Peek behind the banners," says one longtime NBA agent, "and it's rotten."

"Kobe is like the big rock in their front yard," says an agent who has had a Lakers client in recent years. "You can't mow over it, so you just have to mow around it."

Another agent with current Lakers clients was asked whether Bryant undermined the team's rebuilding by alienating would-be free agent recruits. "Well, duh," he replied. "Isn't that obvious?"

Is Kobe Bryant the reason for the Los Angeles Lakers' downfall?

Is Kobe supposed to average less than 20 shots with a team full of scrubs and no Nick Young?

I like how this thread went from, he is told old and not the same, but now thats he's showing he can still score, lets attack the number of shots.

You guys have to make your minds up.

I was just about to post it. Just saw this on espn.com

It is a very long read

Is Kobe Bryant the reason for the Los Angeles Lakers' downfall?

This article was to get clicks... I get some of what he claims but bottom line, Kobe expects you to hold yourself to the same accountability as he holds himself... You all complain about players being lazy are spoiled, Kobe is doing the same and these AAU superstar "do you know who I am" people don't like it... Get a pair or gtfo... I don't mind Kobe being that way...:noidea:

Who can't score when you're shooting 22 & 23 shots? I will never be impressed with a player scoring mid 20s on 20 something attempts......that's pretty bad.

Guys like bron & Durant would be approaching 40 nightly if they were chucking up nearly 25 shots every night. Calderon can score 20 something points on 22 or 23 shots
