Just such weird circumstances, skins draft 2 QBs and are pretty much throwing in the towel and starting over

The Niners make a lot of sense with the connection to Shanahan and the hole at QB, but there are lots of good spots to land mentioned in this thread.

Jacksonville and Miami are both interesting because both could be giving up on young QBs that have gotten a crack at becoming a franchise QB.

The Browns and Jets have no QBs and would seemingly be in the market.

Arizona has no solution at QB moving forward either.

Could the Broncos give up on Lynch, that fast? Probably not.

If the Redskins start 1-4, how about a trade in October?

one I wasn't even considering yesterday - Saints

Brees won't be doing it forever, but they just aren't likely to both pay Cousins and keep Brees on the roster.
And there is no positive NFL storyline if Brees gets dishonorably discharged from the Big Easy.

I just wasted your time with this thought, he's not going to N.O.

With a whole season in between stranger things have happened. If Payton remains and Brees doesn't he'll need a WCO quarterback. Cousins could fit.

Maybe a long shot. But stranger things have happened.

Something goes horribly wrong or unexpected for Dak Prescott.
Jerry Jones ponies up the money for Cousins screwing a division rival in the process.

I must be tired. G'nite all.

Stranger things have happened. If you were to come on here after his rookie season and say RGIII would be considered a bust now, people would tear you apart and be talking about sizing up his HOF jacket.

Same could be said about Vince Young, and probably a few other guys that I am forgetting.

Not sure anyone guessed Pittsburgh?

With all of the gibberish that Ben's skills are declining, along with his health, with some speculating this may be his last season, seems like it could be a match for 2018.

like this one a lot actually - but I thought PIT was cap strapped

I think that will play a part, but NFL teams have made that work out in the past, so not a steadfast roadblock
They won't be signing any new QB1-contracts to anyone if they pay Bell

Ooh god I would love it if we just traded kirk for Brees right now. Actually kinda makes sense.

I wouldn't.

That would be short term thinking. I would much prefer to lock up Cousins long term.

I just don't think that's gonna happen at this point. And if it does its gonna be expensive as hell. But I think this team could be a dark horse contender if they added brees.

funny thing is theres so many teams that could come out of the wood work for him. It may be the least expected team

i could make arguments for
1)Redskins
2)giants-if eli struggles again
3)Vikings-if bradford isnt great and hes got 1 year left, and lord knows on bridgewater
4)saints-brees getting up there
5)cardinals-Whose taking over for carson
6)49ers-obvious
7)dolphins-if tannehill continues to not progress
8)bills-they seem to not be sold on tyrod
9)jets-No explanation needed
10)browns-again no explanation needed
11)Jags-may let bortles go
12)broncos-what if no one steps up

theres 12 teams i can see

If Cousins hits free agency, he is going to shatter the record for highest paid QB. And that isn't because he is great, just because he will be the only "good" QB to hit feee agency since Peyton. The bidding war will be unreal.

Steelers, Chiefs/Texans if something goes really wrong with their rooks

Agree completely @tlance, whichever team signs him will prob lose a good veteran in FA at another position to pay cousins

Most teams folks consider "good" have a QB they got to pay some big bucks for, it's the cost of being competitive as a rule.
