Today marks the 166th meeting between the Lions and Packers. Historically, Detroit hasn't fared well in Lambeau, as their current streak of 22 consecutive losses has yet to be broken. But things are looking up for the Leos, as they currently lead the Norris at 3-1. Mike McCarthy is 5-1 the week after a bye and has a career record of 13-1 against Detroit. Will the Lions finally break this streak?

My keys to today's game:
1. Stop the turnovers: Lions RB's have performed well, but they're also near the top in fumbles. Hold on to it!

2. Get Rodgers! With the way Suh has been playing, this should be doable. Make him discount double check his backside.

3. Win the field position battle. Can't win games if you're always backed up.

Players to watch:

- Kris Durham: Will he build upon last week's performance?

- Ryan Broyles: Just how soon until he becomes a focal point?

-Darius Slay: If Houston can't go, will he be ready?

These are my keys to today's game. Hopefully the Lions come away with a W for today.

I will address one concern from the OP.

Pat Edwards is back so we may not see much of Durham. Not sure if it is a good thing or not. Edwards has failed to impress during games.

Lions put up 40 last week with CJ getting 4 catches. I had the Packers/Lions splitting home and home this year anyway. I do not feel the sky is falling because he is inactive today.

This definitely puts Staff more at risk. Usually if he is hurried he can just throw to where CJ is. Now he will need an extra second to figure out where to go with it.

Those slants wont be nearly as effective without a deep threat either.

Calvin on the field, even if with 0 catches, is a whole lot different than Calvin not being on the field...as we saw today and in the preseason. Kinda scary that one guy is so vital to the offensive team.

- Ryan Broyles: Just how soon until he becomes a focal point?

Focal point? How soon before he stops being invisible? If he isn't getting catches with Burleson out and then Burleson and Calvin out -- My guess is he is just not getting open.

I can only think of one, play calvin. If not dont bother. Lions have no chance at cleveland if CJ is out.
