Giving only 2 teams he wanted to go to (Anaheim and Chicago) Vancouver was forced into this and took a shit deal. Anaheim wins this one in a landslide, IMO. Kesler backed them into a corner and made them act on it, and this happened. Good deal, Ducks.

Not really a bad deal for the Canucks at all. Let's not overlook the fact that Bonino scored more points than Kesler this year and appears to be on the upswing while Kesler is almost certainly declining.

I agree. And although Kesler can be a very effective player, it's addition by subtraction to a degree. Kesler wanted out and just wasn't a good person to have around leading a mini-rebuild.

This isn't a great deal by any means, Bonino was good and the first round pick should net them a solid player but they were hamstrung
