This Seahawk fan remembers many tough battles against The Snake.
RIP.
Between Zorn, Fouts and Stabler, was a tough division for the Bronco's and Chiefs to play in back in the day. Ole broken down Morton did well for us though.

The Raaaiders! For a guy who never lifted a weight in his life, Stabler was incredibly crafty when he had to be.

Kenny Stabler should absolutely be in the Hall of Fame. It's a no brainer. He was every bit as exciting to watch as that other lefty; a guy named Steve Young. Hope the Raider Nations raises a rumble that can be heard all the way to Canton.

While I do agree that he was awesome, when you think of those Raider's teams the first person that comes to mind is Madden, then Al Davis and the players after those 2. I believe that hurts them individually.

No doubt. Seattle did well against Fouts and Stabler, but once you guys got Elway...tough sledding for us.

Stabler was before my time. Wasn't watching football then. How does he rate all time?

He was one of my favorite all time QB's.....Casper, Biletnikoff and Stabler, were a force to be reckoned with back in the day......And with the Mad Genius Madden at the helm, a run away train....

RIP #12.......One of the GOAT's

Stabler is the only quarterback from that period who won a Super Bowl not in the HOF. He had more than twice the number touchdowns as he did interceptions! I also think Kenny was one of the best 2 minute drill QB's out there. He worked magic many times in those 2 minutes.

He did? I thought he had more Int's than TD's. Actually one of the reasons I thought he is NOT and won't ever be in the HOF...

:agree: He was better than SY IMO, who couldn't win with Jerry Rice to throw to ?....Dirty Sanchez might be on the Goat list with Jerry Rice on his team....Okay, that is a little out there, but you get my point !!:D

Joe Namath was a pretty poor QB (imo, the most overrated QB ever). Look at his numbers. More INTs than TDs and a completion percentage of barely 50%. If he can make the HOF, then Ken Stabler should damn well be in.

I don't know how the stats stack up but when you watched him play......

Always a well regarded QB. Not an elite QB, but was a very good one. That is the impression I got. Stats don't tell the whole story.

They sure don't....If you look at just his time in Oakland, it would probably be vastly different anyway....
His bouncing around at the end of his career put a damper on the stats, I think....
But those that know football is about winning and not stats, know he was as elite as a qb could be...
Stabler, Montana and Staubach were the best closers I have ever seen from the first SB to now....
Elite simply means a winner in pro football, and he was absolutely a winner....:2cents:
