I am not sure the exact location, but I heard in excess of 110MPH winds in some locations of the Pacific Northwest

It was a supreme bitch on the autobahn this AM at 5:30 when I was heading to Nanaimo. Wipers on high did sweet fuck all.

And the roads out of town were like a wooded path.... Bows and branches all over the place and maple leaves in drifts.....

I'm more worried about a power outage on Sunday myself. I'd be distraught if Sunday afternoon the TV went black just as the Dallas and Seattle games were about to start....

I'll try. Got the final day of the conference till 5pm. I might catch a cab with my professor to the museum from the art gallery instead of a 1/2 walk. Everything else is inside.

70 degrees and sunny in western NY today. This has been a very odd year, weather wise, for sure. Record-breaking cold in the winter, leading to way more 90+ degree days over this past summer than we're used to, including a pretty substantial drought. I had never seen the retaining pond at work go dry before, but it did this year.
