The NCAA said they placed the football program over academics and had a clear culture problem. Here's some facts for the NCAA:
Penn State had an 85% graduation rate.
Penn State was tied for the 8th best graduation rate among AQ schools(Including the AAC)
Penn State had the 2nd best graduation rate in the B1G.
Penn State actually increased their graduation rate since 2000.
Penn State is 15% above the national average in graduation rate.
But yes, they clearly placed the football program ahead of academics.
Thankfully the NCAA realized how dumb they were and lessened the sanctions a couple weeks ago.
