With the increasing mutual interest between Brian Kelly and Florida State, Notre Dame has requested a second meeting with Urban Meyer. The two sides first met informally in late October to gauge Meyer's current standing with Fox Sports and his future plans. At that time, Meyer informed President Rev. Jenkins and AD Kevin White that he had already met with Jerry Jones and is weighing his options. While it's believed that the Cowboys would be Meyer's top choice, Meyer made it clear he would not consider a return to the college ranks unless it was in South Bend.

I think it will be USC, but part of me thinks, Urban’s ego wouldn’t want to be coaching games in west coast obscurity.

Texas would be his best option, as he has recruited so well in Texas and if he coached at Texas, he’d get whatever kids he wanted from the state.

I hope it isn’t ND as my brother is a season ticket holder and I don’t feel like listening to him.
