oddly enough though this is bad news, if KU indeed is top 5 all year, then even playing and losing to them might be better for the RPI than beating Villanova unless Nova is ranked and does well...odd to say I know, but hey, let's just claim the title and see where the chips fall

Well nova will be ranked next week even if we beat them. Its good for the rpi either way imo because nova is likely a solid tourney team

I would have rather played KU, but it is what it is, bring on Villanova.

Beating Villanova might be better for Iowa because 'Nova could easily win the Big East this year and their conference tournament. Hopefully, Xavier keeps winning as well as they too are in the Big East.

KU looked sluggish and disinterested against 'Nova and UTEP. KU might finish in the top 4 of their conference this year if things don't change quickly for them.
