Never gonna tag on a guy for trying to get help. Hope that's what it is though, and not some sort of media image scheme.

No amount of rehab is going to help this kid improve his performance at the NFL level

To make it an easy transition they should work on picking up and putting down a clipboard for the first few days.

I am not a fan of Johnny Manziel or the Browns. But I am a fan of recovery and wish him well. I hope he gets it and is able to make it. It's a long hard road but I'm here to tell you it works. But only if you want it. I hope he went there for all the right reasons.

Cleveland probably going to cut him when he gets out. They will probably draft another stud QB this year and ruin his career to. Because that's what Cleveland does.

But it's a good thing the dude went to rehab and got some help. Cleveland can pay him to hold a clipboard in Dallas...

I'm hoping it works out for him. I absolutely love watching the guy play. He's so exciting. I want him to make it in the league and yes, I realize when I say that I am way in the minority.

I Know Cleveland doesn't have the best track record with qb's, but I really don't think Cleveland is at fault with this one. I'm not a big fan of his kind of behavior, so I'm not very objective, but he asked for everything that was given to him. I have a feeling he had the substance abuse sometime after his last game in College Station, but before he got drafted.

I said before, and I'll say again. He's just not an NFL QB and I have to say I'm glad. We just don't need another NFL player with that kind of attitude. There's enough already. He may prove me wrong, but I really doubt it.

I agree, Phantom. I'm not difending his behavior. The kid has some real talent and its a shame to see it wasted. His behavior off the field is why a lot of us Aggies were happy to see him go a year early. But for him to recognize that he has issues and needs to get help to fix them shows him actually making a mature decision. Sadly, some these kids are made into rock stars and coddled all through their late teens and early twenties. Johnny is a prime example. Welcome to adulthood...

I'm in that minority as well- I loved watching him play.

It was only his rookie season, at the hardest position in the game. If he can deal with his alcohol issue, he might still get a chance somewhere. But he's got to learn to play the position as a NFL quarterback, not as Johnny Football...

As a Browns fan, I have to pull for hi.

Personally, I think he is a giant vag who will never make it at the NFL level. Why the Browns drafted him, I'll never now.

I can't believe how long this kid has been in rehab. I don't think even Robert Downey Jr. was in this long.

Even in college? You did watch him in college, right? The guy was amazingly electrifying, a complete baller.

He was slippery for sure, but Mike Evans was a big part of it.

When your own dad tells the world you're an alcoholic when you're photographed rolling up a dollar bill in the men's room at a club; when flip everyone off during a preseason game; when you get in fights at 2 a.m. in the morning on a Saturday before the game....you have a lot to "turn around." I'm not seeing it. It will take him 10 years to get it together and that's if he works hard at it. Some guys overindulge now and again..this guy's flow blow devil may care screw everyone brat addict.

Mike Evans, along with what, 3-4 of Sherman's offensive linemen that were 1st rounders. Still, JF was a badass in college and loved the way he pissed all over the Sooner D in the Cotton Bowl.
