He coached the Nets a few years ago and it didn't end well. Perhaps he learned from that experience though.

yep, i remember...

that'd be the point about proving his mettle. in all honesty i kinda DO think he's an NBA worthy coach, if you will. but of course that'd have to be bourn out over a couple of seasons...

Not likely going to happen - the Lakers had so many injuries that D'antoni is almost guaranteed to come back even though I personally blame him atleast partly for many of the injuries with the style he plays. If anything I think D'antoni comes back and then gets fired in the middle of the year and Rambis gets another shot or D'antoni walks away and Rambis gets a shot.

If this happens I won't be renewing my league pass for a while... Not jumping ship, but that's too much money to watch rebuilding and shitting on Kobes last 2 years... I can't watch that...

Not a bad move if the Lakers were rebuilding, but they seem to be reloading and veteran heavy team ahead so probably not a good move. Need a coach who can manage vets

lakers management seems to be changing by the day...few weeks ago there were rumors out there they intended to keep dantoni next season....now another rumor saying hes expected to get released after season....just rumors but still
