Joe Schmidt out for season.

Broke his ankle, realllllyyyyy bad news. It was clear our defense was struggling to get lined up correctly with him out. Lost our defensive QB. Should be back for a 5th year though, which is good news. Hope he fully recovers.

Tough break for Schmidt, he was having a good season.

Him and Jaylon seem to gel pretty well together.

I like Morgan but he isn't ready to play. However, he has to play lol

I feel for the kid. Great story, love his hustle and ability to QB the defense, which is where he will be sorely missed. Even if he's a step slow sometimes, he's always in the right place. Niles Morgan, clearly a better athelete, is also a true freshman. He can't make in-game adjustments like Schmidt, and on two critical plays, he was way out of position. I think he will make doe exciting plays, but I am bracing for us getting torched on crossing routes and any time he has to drop into coverage.

Horrible news. I knew he was on crutches, but didn't think his injury would amount to something as serious as season-ending. Ughhhh. I figured we'd lose somebody to injury playing Navy ... never imagined this type of a loss though.

Well ... looks like a lot of the calls are gonna fall on Jaylon. I hope he's up to that task ... we're gonna need it.

I could tell it was going to be a bad injury when I saw the replay. I guess we'll see what Morgan is made of. At least he'll get the week of first team reps and not just have to come in off the bench.

It is a big blow without Collinsworth playing. When he comes back it will help out the defense significantly
