That huge guy from the Police Academy movies believes it. Bubba Smith, I think. I loved those movies when I was a kid. It wasn't until the '90s when I became a fan of watching NFL Films that I found out he was a football player and that he believed Super Bowl 3 was fixed.

That's understandable, I guess.

I remember him questioning why Shula didn't go to Unitas earlier. If my knowledge of NFL history is correct (as, I didn't become a sports fan until 1986 or 1987), it's my understanding that Unitas got injured earlier in the year and that Earl Morall came in and did a really good job as QB, so of course he was going to be the starter in Super Bowl 3. Going to a still hurting Unitas seemed like a desperation move, but Unitas did throw a TD pass to finally get them on the board.
