Jason Werth: Pressing his luck?

In June of 2014, Jason Werth was pulled over for doing 105 in a 55 MPH Zone in his Porsche 911 ... when asked why he was going so fast, his apparent answer was "Pressing my luck."

Werth has been sentenced to 10 days in jail with 170 days suspended ... his lawyer says they plan to appeal.

I need this lawyer.

I did it in my mid 20s ... straight 4 lane divided highway, in a Datsun 280zx, straight six with 5 on the floor ... never again. It did ride smooth, but the passing telephone poles made it a bit ... surreal.

I drove cross-country back in the summer of '94 in an '84 Mustang 5.0 V8 manual. I was caravanning with a friend whose speedometer actually went higher than 85, so I was able to get an idea how fast we were going...

He had us clocked at 120.

My bro-in-law was arrested in 1997 in a brand new C5 Corvette doing 155 in a 55 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They don't just write you a ticket when you're doing 100 mph over the speed limit. Fortunately they let me drive the car home.

Weird that the ol' Chevy's engine eventually blew out. (Chevy Astro vans ride well at 100 too. Mom didn't let me borrow her ride much though. Smart lady.)

my z was Cowboy Blue and Silver ... with T-tops. It was not that fast in a drag race, but man, it would fly at 90 to 100 ... very, very smooth. I miss it. Had to dump it when I got married ... she had a bad driving record ... wench.

For 5 min of my life, I was doing 174 mph in a 65 mph on a Honda CBR 1000F, on a 4 lane hwy that was new and not used much. I got passed from a buddy doing 184 mph (or approximately is what he thought he saw). After that, I realized my need for speed was gone.
