That said, I'm surprised nobody has taken a flyer on Jackson Jeffcoat, or Carrington Byndom, or Anthony Fera. All three of those guys will make an NFL roster if given the chance. Mike Davis I'm not sold on, and Chris Whaley might make a team.

Byndom was projected as a maybe 6 or 7 rounder.

At the time of my post ESPN had only one punter picked in the 6th round Pat O'Donnell, no kickers when I posted.

2 in the 7th after I posted.

They had at least one player drafted since 1937.


On a side note:

I wonder why there is no outrage that the BIG 12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER of the year did not get drafted.
He actually beat out Michael Sam for the Ted Hendricks Defensive End College award.
He was projected as a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
Apparently, it is possible to simply get overlooked for football reasons. It is not some evil conspiracy.

As for Texas, surely no one really expected any Texas players to be taken? The only slight possibility would be Jeffcoat, and I've said many times I don't see what outsiders see in him. Sure, had a knack to get some sacks, at times. But he's not strong enough for NFL pass rush, not fluid enough to play OLB. He just is not.


Of course non of the OLinemen (one of Mack's favorites who cant stay on his feet, and another we picked-up as a juco in desperation) are NFL caliber. And the kicker was a transfer from the Penn St dumpster fire. We only had a few seniors.


Perfect, PERFECT example of the failure of MB regime last 4 to 5 years. Couldn't be any more clear or obvious.
