My prediction if Notre Dame beats USC its very possible back to the top 10 heading into the bye week.

1. Alabama plays Texas A&M
2. Florida plays LSU
3. Michigan State plays Michigan
4. Arizona State vs. Utah

Yes this is a big week. IF we in we should be back in the Top 10 with half a season left to move up 6 spots.

The AP hates us.. even if we blowout USC we will most likely move up 2-3 spots

Yes hopefully the selection committee likes Notre Dame more than the AP poll.

Three straight weeks of not allowing TD, and a beat down of a decent NW team helped. I wish they had a little more growing pains under Harbaugh, just to watch those bastards squirm, but it is what it is. They've had a pretty easy go of things so far all things considered. Let's see them do this against MSU and OSU, although right now, they are looking better than both of those teams.

Keep in mind though that Harbaugh could be benefiting the way Weis benefitted early on in his time at ND, with a veteran roster. They brought in, what, 4 players last year? They're going to have a big roster hit here if not next year, then the year after. They may have a surprise year and then fall back before the real build up begins.

Right now, I'm rooting for Michigan to beat MSU.

I'm rooting for the meteor.

It's not easy for me to say this, but I think this would be the best scenario for ND's chances of getting into the playoff. (but I'm not crying if MSU wins)

What scenario is that? Michigan over MSU, MSU over Ohio St, Ohio St over Michigan? Then hope the West beats the East in the B1G Championship?

The 3 teams right in front of us in the coach's poll lost, and 4 teams in the AP. We should expect 9th or 10th. Stanford staying strong for some games would be nice but we have to blow some teams away from here til then.

This Iowa team can screw us. They play nobody this year. There remaining games Maryland, Indiana, Minn, and Purdue and Nebraska. Most likely will be in the Championship game.

I'm more concerned with Clemson beating fsu and Clemson losing their conference title game. we might be able to jump them like fsu jumped us for the title in 93. Stanford and nd could be a play in game if we both win out. (Stanford would have the pac12 title game the following week though).
