Is UCONN Women's win streak legit. Do you even care?

Sure 99 wins in a row is hard to do in any sport. But when the average margin of victory in women's basketball is like 30+ points, I really just don't give a F*#k

To me there's only about 4 or 5 good teams in women's basketball. Even in the tournament you will see games that are won by 40 or 50 points.

Women's basketball is at a similar point now that Men's basketball was at during Wooden's era.

So if you care about Wooden's record, you should probably care about this.

if you don't, you probably won't care about this either.

It is a great accomplishment. But I won't be watching it tonight with Cuse/Ville on at the same time, and Baylor/TTech on as well.

I gotta say, despite all this, I don't feel great about the streak finishing out this year.

Baylor and Maryland are crazy matchup nightmares, and ND still has a dominant C as well.

All 3 can win if they can get Collier and Gabby into foul trouble (that was how MD made it a game at all, they got both into foul trouble).

But beating both Maryland and ND on the road gives me hope.

But they beat Baylor at home, which does give me serious pause as well.

Sure it's legit but no I don't care. I actually don't mind women's basketball as long as UCONN is not playing. I don't watch their games because it's like watching the Warriors play Kansas. Sure Kansas has some good players but they're not going to win so what's the point?

This is the worst team they've had since 2012.

The 2 years after this are going to be crazy good.

But Geno isn't getting the #1 class every year.

Teams like Baylor and ND and Maryland get higher ranked classes quite often IIRC.

I will enjoy this, because UConn may never win another title again after he's gone.

I used to like watching UCONN because you always had hope of seeing that big upset. It's gotten to the point now where I'll watch pretty much any woman's game but theirs. Lol. I thinl the last one I watched was a few years ago when they played a top 10 team and we're ahead like 54-12. After that I said never again

When you have the female Lebron, that happens.

They've already had a few close calls this year.

This team isn't basically unbeatable like the last few years.

South Carolina has had trouble with UConn in the past, FWIW.

Maryland and Baylor were really the games to watch.

But....South Carolina has great size, and UConn has no size.

I've expected the last 2 games between them to be closer than they were though.

Yes the win streak is legit. I only watch Syracuse and UND Woman's basketball comes playoff/tourni time. So I really don't care too much but good for them.

i would declare UConn as boring, but i dont have the guts to mistreat them in that way. UConn women's hoops is the real deal now that Tennessee's time as a great super power is gone. i think UConn's streak will end sometime next year or two meaning they will win another women's title.

U outta give them credit, that's one of the most respected teams in the women's level

I think there was a racket ball team that won like 270 games in a row. I remember they mentioned it when they lost.

They have a 6'6 transfer who averaged 19/10 in the ACC last year.

And everyone besides Chong is coming back.

I think this year is still the best option out of the next 2-3 years.

I don't care about it. They have teams that are 10 times more talented than the rest of the field. Just like the Wooden era in the 60s and 70s like an earlier poster stated.

its 100 consecutive wins... Regardless of the competition in Women's College Basketball that's one hell of an accomplishment! Even then (competition being the way it is) you would have thought some team would have knocked them off... Also only like 4 of there wins have been less than 10 point wins... That's even more impressive imo.
