On a positive note, the Tigers only owe him $244M.....Tigers should hire a sniper......Only 8 more years
Orioles slugger Chris Davis is on pace for one of the worst seasons in MLB historyHe will be more valuable and a better deal to the Tigres on the DL/in retirement than Chris Davis is actually playing for the Orioles.

Too bad we couldn't trade him before he got hurt.

In Monday's game Davis went 0 for 5 with three strikeouts, and he heard boos after each strikeout. That dropped his season batting line to an unfathomable .150/.227/.227 (28 OPS+) in 229 plate appearances. One-hundred-and-sixty-two players have enough plate appearances to qualify for the batting title right now. Among those 162, Davis ranks ...
- 162nd in batting average (by 19 points)
- 161st in on-base percentage (Lewis Brinson is at .215)
- 162nd in slugging (by 57 points)
- 162nd in OPS+ (by 19 points)
God damn do I hate that you have to ask this question.Wonder what Doug think about this?
How long is the list of sluggers that don't?Too soon to add him to the long list of sluggers who have crashed and burned in their 30s?
Holy shat! I haven't see you darken these threads for a long timeMaybe the Tigres have some kind of insurance to help pay off Miggy's contract in case he cannot be medically cleared to play...they did for Prince Fielder and this resulted in the latter having to be placed on a long term DL with the Rangers for the remainder of the term instead of formally retiring.
With those fat stacks, me thinks the Tigers will need to find some kind of work for him to do. I bet he can prune and mowWith five plus years and $162MM+ still left on his contract?
lolz.
