Apparently there were some big injuries...

"Martin-Manley wasn’t available to return punts Saturday because of a leg injury that had him limping noticeably.

His injury was one of several that hindered Iowa’s performance against the Spartans. Star running back Mark Weisman played sparingly because of an ankle injury."

I know I saw Scherff go down as well...and Davis.

The fun part is the MSU guys who were "injured" were back in on the next play (ahem Dennard)...typical MSU crap there, they are a chippy team, sure they won, but seemed to see a few penalties that even Galloway commented on that didn't get called. Not why we lost of course, but didn't help.

That offsetting penalty late in the game was complete shit

it was, I agree, he just kept blocking the guy though, not exactly sportsmanlike but it's not uncommon either, happens every game a few times...

What I found kind of interesting was the 15 yarder on the Iowa bench on the non fumble...you knew it wasn't a fumble, why argue? stupid...you could have been making sure you had a defense ready for a fake punt instead of arguing for a non fumble

According to post game interview with Ferentz no one is expected to miss any time. Minor bumps/bruise/sprain type injuries. That's the good news..the bad news...OSU in the shoe...

we almost beat them there in JVB's first game and they were highly ranked back then, they are just another team, any given Saturday...but yeah we will likely get killed
