One of my favorite bars played this movie on a Monday night. Everybody agreed that when the word Nazi was said everyone takes a shot, needless to say a lot of us didn't make it to the end.

it needed more focus on the Basterds and less focus on the Rench Jew

I can see that. Even though the "rench Jew' part of this movie was intriguing to me.

yea, it wasn't a bad storyline... but the previews made it seem like Brad Pitt and company were just going to be killing krauts the whole time... not some French Jew girl and her movie theater

Meh, its his 4th best movie. Behind Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Django Unchained.

I'll give you Reservoir Dogs, but, imo, this is his 2nd best movie.

Man, Pulp Fiction was so good that it launched Samuel L Jackson to superstar status and also gave Travolta a 2nd chance at being a super star after the 70s faded and he was relegated to Look Whos talking as his biggest hit for 12 years.

Not to mention what it did for Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, and Uma Thurman.

That is easily his crown jewel. It was so good that most of the actors who played lead roles just blew up after 1994. Before Pulp Fiction they acted, sure, but all of their well-known roles came after this movie launched their popularity.

In turn, Inglorious Basterds only launched the Hollywood career of Christoph Waltz.

I definitely liked it more than pulp fiction and reservoir dogs. haven't seen Django yet. I think it's his best one.

I am not saying Django did not have it's moments. When that kraut guy shot the sheriff and asked for the marshall was hilarious.

Overall though, the implausibilities in the story line outweighed any humor or clever references.

Yeah, I can see that. I am just a major Tarantino homer. Fan club captain...

Not really, but love all his movies.... Except Jackie Brown. That was just ok.

1) Reservoir Dogs
2) Pulp Fiction
3) Kill Bill (I consider it one movie)
4) Inglorious Bastards
5) Natural Born Killers
6) Killing Zoe
7) Jackie Brown

I haven't seen Django, so I can't rate that.

NBK I didn't really like, but I kinda considered that 2 separate movies: Prison and pre-prison. I thought the Prison portion was cool, the pre-prison portion was just too weird.

KZ was early and not memorable.

JB was, well, JB...

IB was crazy good! I just liked the other 3 soooo much that it just falls short.
