Some of the Patriots balls were slightly low on PSI as were some of the Colts' balls.
There is no evidence that the refs did their due diligence in checking ball PSI prior that game or any other game ever.
Rather than levying the 25K "equipment violation" fine that is called for in the rules, Goodell decided to suspend Brady, take away the Pats first round pick and fine the team 1 million $$$

What does the NFL get out of making their stars look bad? If anything they get more leeway usually. I think the NFL would have handled it the same way at the outset, but because Dalton would likely have not acted the way Brady did the entire matter wouldn't have been as big of a deal nor still an ongoing matter. Perhaps part of Brady's suspension was due his complete lack of cooperation. Maybe Dalton hands over his cell phone, owns up to it and gets one game because he didn't act like an obnoxious, entitled, lying baby...or maybe Goodell hates Brady, who knows...
