Illinois State schedule

Went there for college for a hot minute and decided to take a look at their football schedule this year. They play 10 of their 12 games in the state of Illinois this year. They don't leave the state for a game until November 9th/their 10th game. They only have 6 home games, but play @ Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Illinois all in the same year. The football gods were on their side this year.

Anybody else have that great of a schedule this year? Lower levels included

That is really NOT Normal! BTW, I stopped by and toured the Campus this spring, when I was passing through. Had a Mid-Century Modern feel to it. Walked all around it and liked it.

It's a very nice campus. Very large for in the middle of a city, I lived all the way across campus so 8am classes were not a favorite of mine

Florida doesn't get 2 non conference games in state and then 2 conference games in state, it's just funny how it all falls this year

Forgot about the BIG12 and how many teams they have in Texas. Makes sense there

My daughter got her Masters there are doing undergrad at Eastern. I have seen 5 of their head-to-head games. It is what small time college football is all about. Great atmosphere.

Forgot about the BIG12 and how many teams they have in Texas. Makes sense there

Illinois is not exactly a small state either. Plus, Northern is a G5 team, so is a step up. The conference they paly in is a powerhosue in their division. Helluva schedule for an FCS team.

I got my undergrad degree there. I lived in several apartments along locust and willow. Had the time of my life. The football there is fantastic.

I wasn't saying anything about the size of the state.

ISU and Eastern play every year. This year is the 108th meeting between the teams. And like @kburjr said, NIU is an FBS team so a tougher matchup either way.

I was going to mention this one. Baylor's not going to get any frequent flyer miles fo sho.

They travel to Kansas twice and Stillwater. The next furthest trip is Houston.

comparing the size of illinois to texas seemed rather strange, that's all
