It's not fair. Illinois had to play in 65 degree weather in TX.

Illinois lost that game because they let receivers get wide open for TDs or almost TDs several times. Pass defense was horrific.

That pass defense would give up 100 in the big12 that's for sure.

I heard the only reason why Illinois made a bowl game was because Michigan State got selected for the Cotton Bowl rather than the Orange Bowl, otherwise there would have been one less spot.

Looking at the records of the two teams is

We learned that when the SEC lost 3-4 games during rivalry week.

Illinois fucked up by winning their last game and getting this bowl. Now they will most like have Beckman back another year. Illini football has been a cesspool for too may years. I remember Jack Trudeau, Tony Eaison, Jeff George and some other decent skilled players.
