Game Thread: Idaho State vs UW

Since Wiz and our other more insightful posters decided not to cover this one, I will preview it for you all!

The Bengals are 2-0 and are not ranked in the FCS. It's a big spread 48 1/2 I believe and I think UW will cover!

So in a word;

Well... I was dubious of the 53 point line (which was what I heard earlier in the week), but after seeing 3/4 of a quarter, I don't see a way that we won't cover. Idaho State is terrible... why on earth are we scheduling them?

Jesus this is a slaughtering. I thought it would be more enjoyable to watch us rack up 42 before halftime but I almost pity Idaho State.

It never seemed to slow Oregon down but I've never been a fan of scheduling these softie opponents. I always felt like it's real easy to go and destroy a team like Idaho State and next week let your guard down when you're playing a real college football team that moves 5x quicker than these guys.

I agree. When a team is as bad as Idaho State, you don't gain anything playing against them that you couldn't achieve in practice, IMO.

Well Idaho state isnt ranked in the FCS but they have the #1 offense in the FCS and we shut it down completely. I also thought I heard them say they had the #1 defense in the FCS as well. Only two games played for them before today, but at their level they are making noise this year.

I seriously thought we were going to break some of those guys bones. The dawgs put a lot of hard hits on.

I am not entertained. Enough of the scheduling of FCS schools...

Those stats are deceptive. Both of Idaho State's games before today were against Division II teams. Idaho State will finish near the bottom of the Big Sky this year (if not dead last) and they can't hold a candle to teams like Eastern Washington or Montana State.

...I know they cant compete with the big boys in the fcs.

Frankly it's embarrassing to me that we scheduled them. Just looking for silver linings other than the win.
