I really hate to say this, but Watt may be finished.

Like not immediately finished, but he will never return to his defensive MVP state(which was painfully obvious), and now with the knee injury, he maybe only has a season or two left.

i will be REALLY sad the day he leaves so im having to prepare myself now.

Yeah, hated seeing that. He'll have spent a lot of time away. Think it's up to him how much he wants to put into it. Know he's talked about making movies, not sure if he was joking or not.

Sad to see him go down again. Hope he can bounce back but you may be right. He might not get back to being that dominant force he was.

This is a guy who said he would retire if he didn't think he could play at a high level anymore. This year, it didn't reflect it in the stat sheet but it is worth noting that he had 5 QB takedowns, and 15 total pressures, which was the 8th most among interior defenders.

I'm biased because Watt is a genuinely good guy off the field, but I hope he returns to form. I'd have to imagine this injury is easier to recover from than back surgery. I'm rooting for him.

99% this guy was on HGH. Humans aren't supposed to be that big, strong & fast naturally.

He was on track for being the best DL who ever took the field, though

There is something in that Watt blood. He'll be back. I'm not going to doubt the guy.

Starting to look like it with some of these injuries that aren't really even contact. Shame because he was maybe the most dominant defensive player since Reggie White.

I tend to agree that injuries are taking away some of his prime and once the legs go for a pass rusher, you are done.

Can he be MVP JJ Watt again after this injury? Probably not, but hopefully he can close out this contract. Either way, he's a class act and will be fine at whatever he decides to do outside of football.
