I prefer to Texas rig it, but without the slip weight. Let it sink and wait about 15-20 seconds. Most of my bites comes when it first hits the water and starts to sink. Then reel it in real slow and watch your line. Without the weight, you won't feel alot of the bites. Just watch the line and when you see the line hesitate, or go another direction, set the line hard. Been catching alot of smallies on the 4 inch Senco's and also been having good luck on the Bass Pro sticko worms.
