I used to be heavily into it.. Hell the family and I used to hit a different track every year. Did that for almost 20 years, but then NASCAR started toying with shit, throwing up imaginary yellows just to get Gordon into a position to win yet again. I mean, it was obvious to anyone that NASCAR was basically fixing the outcomes of the races to create controversy and to line their pockets. That was when we all said "screw this shit" and quit following/watching.

Yep. I still watch a little, but like you I grew up going to races : Darlington, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Daytona with an occasional Rockingham and Bristol thrown in there, but when NASCAR left N. Wilkesboro, Rockingham, 1 of the Darlington races and took them out west, we started losing interest. Then, like you said, when they started toying with the race finishes most of my family quit. I'm still here but barely have a pulse.

I've never really followed it. I'm a fan of Leilani Munter's because of who she is and what she supports, but otherwise I don't follow the races. I know someone who was a Dale Earnhardt fan and, since his passing, a Kevin Harvick fan, but even he doesn't follow Nascar as much as he used to.

I used to go to my uncles house and follow the races a couple of years ago before I joined the army. Might start watching it at the house this upcoming season if I can get interested in it again.

I never got hard and heavy into NASCAR, but would watch some races.

Then like others said, they started getting to the point that if the leader had more than a 1 second gap there would be a flag/wreck/something. You don't need a caution because someone bumped. Let em go. If one guy is dominating one day and laps the entire field, so be it. He is still going to have to pit and then navigate through when he comes back around.

I watch the last 5-10 laps usually. I like to get on the betting boards as well. Don't really have a driver although i started to pull for Brad K. at the end of the chase.

Watched in the 80s and 90s. Dad would take us to Darlington, Atlanta, and Talladega. Was a Harry Gant and Dale Sr fan. Once he was killed, I just lost interest completely. Prior to that, I never missed a race. It was sort of an End of an Era thing for me.

I'm going to watch Daytona and the following four races next season, if I cant get back into it I'll probably never watch another race again.

Real racing is done in a straight line anyway.
