I honestly think Colorado will surprise some people this year.......I have no real reason for this, I just sense it

Well yea if I was to go off of what it "should be".....they should be 5th. But I sense they will end up 3rd, and actually be 2nd for part of the year. They will beat Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa State this year in the North

Apparently Nebraska was not unanimous. Mike D'Armond from Kansas City said that he voted for Missouri. The Big 12 admitted that they made a mistake in the calculation. He did say that since Missouri plays in Lincoln this year he probably should have picked Nebraska and probably would pick Nebraska now.

This guy is just an idiot. Apparently he didn't like that he was the only one that did not pick Nebraska so he is back tracking now.

He also has 6 all conference players from Missouri on his preseason list. If that is the case then should he stick with his Missouri pick.

What a goober.

He is just a homer.... Missouri does not have 6 all conference preformers.... if they did... they would be a top 15 caliber team... they are not

a missouri guy voted for missouri
he wrote and article about it too

The Big 12 might want to issue a correction — albeit a small and pretty darned meaningless one — about the media being unanimous in picking Nebraska’s football team to win the Big 12 North.

I didn’t pick the Cornhuskers — though given that Missouri plays at Nebraska, I probably should have and probably would now.

A unanimous vote for the Huskers? Uh, no - KansasCity.com

I'm thinking the reason the Big 12 media voted Oklahoma ahead of texas was to build more anticipation for when they play each other. In an attempt to try and take some of the spotlight off the Nebraska and texas game. Just a theory

again, just thinking out loud, the pre season consensus has texas ranked higher, the two teams are about even with returning starters, OU's d was ranked slightly higher last season but OU lost more to the draft in my opinion. Bradford was a far better QB than Colt McVagina.
I just don't see where OU would be picked by the big 12 to win the south. I don't think I'm reaching really far to say that the big 12 hates all the media attention we are getting, where they would rather get back to it just being only about texas and OU. After next year that's really the only thing they have left.

The Red River Rivalry (shoot-out) doesn't need any hype though. It would be on TV and talked about if one team was unranked and the other highly ranked...
It's Texas/OU.

just stirring the pot. I am still interested to see how the coaches address it in the media days ahead, it makes it all that much better when we meet with OU in the B12 title game.

I completely disagree. I think that who Texas lost was much bigger than Oklahoma. Sure Oklahoma lost Bradford and Gresham but they basically didn't have them last year anyway. Texas lost their entire offense with Shipley and McCoy. Oklahoma basically has 9 returning starters on offense. I believe Oklahoma wins the Big 12 south and think the media poll has it right.

And yes you are reaching to think the Big 12 media hates the attention Nebraska is getting. Texas and Oklahoma will go back to getting just as much attention as always when the season starts. Media only cares about good stories and that is it. They don't care about anything else. You must be one of those people that believe that the refs are going to be out to get us this year. Just completely stupid.
