How would things look if he went to Michigan or Florida or somewhere like that?

For some reason, I don't think he would have that great of success... doesn't seem like he would fit in, and fans/boosters would just ride his ass into the ground

I know, I know, he would never leave KSU......

Isn't KSU more "big time" than MI or FL? :noidea:

He's pretty old. I could see him moving to Fla.

In 1989:
Oklahoma hired Gary Gibbs.
Kansas State hired Bill Snyder.

Draw your own conclusions.

Synder would have been successful wherever he went. The problem is KSU will not be able to replace him which has already been proven.

Snyder at a big time program > Almost any coach at K-State.

Guys a good coach no doubt. And a pretty good dude. I went to their football camp one summer. He talked to us all at the end. He talked for about an hour. And maybe 10 minutes was on football. The rest was about becoming young responsible men. Using football to teach us life lessons and grow as people and individuals get an education be involved in our communities, family all that stuff.

After a while I was like holy shit dude, I'm 12. And his voice is monotone as hell. But I got the point and had a tremendous amount of respect for him coming out of that.

He's the modern day Bud Wilkinson, except without the player talent.

No idea. Could he recruit? Could he relate to 4-5 star kids. Guy is the best football coach I have ever seen, but it is the other things involved in a big time program I would wonder about

Sounds like a real trouble maker to me.

I kid. While I am not a big KSU fan, Bill Snyder is difficult to dislike as a coach.

Snyder gets the most out of his players.

He gets them lined up properly and KSU does the little things well, like special teams. His teams are solid in fundamentals and discipline.
