2, it's nice on the eyes and probably means some fringe guys lit it up and that's somewhat interesting.

4, 12 straight times kind of dilutes the joy of it. Even if it's absurdly impressive.

1, not making the tournament with the resources Kansas has is grounds for a seat warmer if not an outright hot seat.

5, while I am pleased, it is the expectation, regardless of tournament volatility, not a goal.

8, had to get a little lucky (and good) most likely to get this far, but getting so far shouldn't be diminished but for one thing: it's not a title

10- championships last forever

8) Winning the NIT

As a Gophers fan let's just say I have little to no expectation. I honestly can't even fathom a final four appearance, that's why just making the tournament is such a big deal to me. Don't forget we have ONE non vacated NCAA tournament win in the last quarter century(2013).

4 - Hopefully there is a good team in there to make it worth it

8 - I put a lot of weight on reg season titles

3 - This is largely for getting the teams trying to get in, and maybe moving up a seed

3 - If my team doesn't dance, we had bigger problems

8 - a good baseline for a successful tourney

10 - Hang that banner

10 - Speaks for itself

1 - Doesn't mean shit to me

I think that winning 25 or 30 games in a season is also a good measure of importance, and so is being undefeated at home. Those mean more to me than winning the conference tourney, or winning the NIT, etc.

3)3....Conference Tournament

4)2....Conference Regular Season.

5)1....Preseason Tournament. (Not all preseason tournaments are created equal).

6)5....Making Sweet 16.

7)8....Winning the NIT means your team should have been in the round of 64.

8)4....Making the NCAA Tournament.

To me the conference tournament and the NCAA tournament are the ones I want to see my team win the most.
